Alliance for Family Values seeks to promote locally the national movement to ‘restore ethics in America’ started by the Witherspoon Institute and the Colson Center. We are compelled to organize this alliance in order to bring awareness and create opportunities for people to be involved in this movement within their own local communities. As such we are an alliance of peoples from all walks of life who have united to reaffirm our shared traditional family values, and to call upon our fellow citizens to join us in supporting and defending them.

These values are now in grave danger due to ever increasing opposition from powerful forces in our culture today, and so we are compelled to organize this ‘Alliance for Family Values’ in order to stand and act together in their defense. Our alliance is not committed to any political party or religious denomination but rather we are committed to support & defend these values as they were historically held by our nations sacred and founding documents.

Therefore, let it be known that we will seek to honor these family values fully, to promote them in our communities, to lobby for them and endorse political representatives that support them. In addition we cannot comply with any un-ethical regulation or law that compels us to abandon or compromise these values and truths concerning our understanding of the family, marriage, religion and morality.

The ‘Alliance for Family Values’ is being formed to create a pool of resources to help defend traditional family values in both private and public life. These values include but are not limited to: The Sanctity of Marriage; The Sanctity of Human Life; and Freedom of Religion. Our first goal is to network with peoples and institutions that support and defend these values in
our local neighborhoods and communities. If we are going to be effective in our support and defense of these traditional family values and be a positive avenue of change in America then we must collectively organize people and institutions committed to honoring and defending these foundational principles because our individual efforts and wisdom will not succeed against the powerful forces who oppose us.

We need to be informed on the issues. We need to learn and understand how to react to the issues in a sound ethical manner. We need to pray about the issues privately and corporately. We need to remember that we are all flawed and therefore to do everything in the Sprit of love; in the bonds of Community; and in the joy of our Fellowship.
